Description
Dihexa, also known as N-hexanoic-Tyr-Ile-(6) aminohexanoic amide, or its developmental code name PNB-0408, is an oligopeptide drug derived from angiotensin IV. It binds with high affinity to hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) and enhances its activity at its receptor, c-Met.
The molecular formula of Dihexa is C27H44N4O5, with a molar mass of 504.672 g·mol−1.
Dihexa consists of two hydrophobic amino acids—Tyr-Ile—with the full sequence as follows: Hexanoyl-Tyr-Ile-Ahx-NH2.
